Efficiency
Smeg Dishwashers are fitted with infrared sensor which are designed to check the level of clarity of the water at the time of cleaning the loaded wares. Pre-set Cleaning Time
The time of cleaning can be pre-set so that you may use the dishwasher when the electricity charges  are on lower side,  e.g. at night.

Choose an Optimal Program, Save Energy
Smeg Dishwashers are available with over 10 different settings or wash cycles (upper end models offer even upto 19 washing  programs). Thus , if you only have a few dishes to wash, you can use the half load setting to get maximum efficiency and avoid wasting water and electricity. These machines are equipped with several dry settings as well, again, designed to save on energy consumption.

Custom Made Door Panels
When looking for a dishwasher, do think of gettting a model that are offered with custom made coloured door panels that would blend inwith your kitchen decor or adjoining cabinets.

Warranties
Smeg Dishwashers generaly  come with one year warrantY. One can opt for additional warranties at a small price when purchasing a dishwasher.

Aqua Test:
All Smeg dishwashers have an aquatest feature. A specially developed infrared sensor measures the clarity of the water in the tub at regular intervals and decides whether to heat the water for the pre-wash cycle or to move on to heat the water for the wash cycle. The aquatest feature is incorporated in the AUTO cycle/s - it keeps consumption of water and energy to a minimum, depending on the degree of food soil on the dishes.

Delay Timer:
A standard feature on all Smeg dishwashers is a delay timer. This feature allows you to select the required wash program and delay the start of the cycle for up to a maximum of 12 hours. This way the dishwasher fits in with your schedule.

Energy Star and ISO14001 Certified:
The Smeg production process is carefully managed in order to keep the impact upon the environment as low as possible. The process is checked and certified by Independent International bodies IQNET and CISQ (Smeg complies with the standard ISO14001). All Smeg dishwashers are ENERGY STAR qualified.

ENERGY STAR certified products use less water than conventional dishwashers, and approximately 40% less energy than the federal minimum standard for energy consumption. By choosing an ENERGY STAR certified product you are helping to preserve the environment without compromising on product quality or performance.

Sanitation:
Every dishwasher in the Smeg series has at least one wash program that incorporates a final sanitation rinse. A special final 10 minute rinse at 158°F is added to the end of certain programs to ensure the highest possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene.Smeg dishwashers are ETL sanitation certified.

SMEG offers various types of dishwashers:

•    Freestanding or Built-In Types
These are either  table top types or without top, side and back panels, e.g. Slimline range. They can be  placed by themselves or fitted into grooves (built-in spaces)

•    (Semi) Integrated Types
These can be fitted to blend with kitchen cabinetry and provides clear visual access to the control panel. Door panel below the control panel can be ordered separatel and fitted with customized panel to match rest of your kitchen cabinet decor.

•    Fully Integrated Types
Similar to the semi-integrated types but the access to the control panel is not visible.
